Help Sabrina Rebuild Home After Electrical Fire

Donation protected
On the night of December 4, 2023, Southwest Atlanta resident Sabrina Reese watched her home be consumed by flames as an unforeseen electrical fire in the attic caused severe damage, leaving ashes and charred memories in its wake.

It all happened so fast! Sabrina was at home when she started to smell smoke. She walked around the house but didn't see anything. So frantically, she called my dad - her next-door neighbor for help. Together, they went through the house looking for the problem. Then, lo and behold, they saw through the window that the back porch was engulfed in flames, and then it quickly spread to other parts of the house! Thankfully, Sabrina and my dad were able to escape the burning house to safety.

The Atlanta Fire Department- Stations #25 and #14 were among the first emergency units that responded to the call. They came and spent hours putting out the electrical fire. We are so thankful for all of the firefighters, as they came quickly and got the fire under control.

In the aftermath, Sabrina faces an unimaginable hardship. With no home insurance to fall back on, she stands before a mountain of challenges that would terrify even the strongest among us. To provide some background, Sabrina and I grew up living next door to each other. We attended the same school, went to church together, and even attended Vacation Bible School as kids. Over the years, we have remained close friends and share a strong bond. Today, I am starting a GoFundMe campaign with the aim of helping Sabrina overcome her challenges and get her life back on track.

Funds Needed for Repairs and Other Expenses

The funds raised through this campaign will be directed towards various critical needs. Foremost among them is the reconstruction of her home. Sabrina has already received a few estimates. With your donations, she intends to engage a local contractor immediately to begin the repairs. However, the costs don't stop at mere bricks and mortar.

Until her home is once again habitable, Sabrina needs temporary living accommodations. Your generous donations will help Sabrina maintain her day-to-day life amidst this unexpected event.

We know times are hard, and we're all fighting our own battles. But even the smallest contribution can make a significant difference in Sabrina's life right now. No amount is too small; every penny brings her one step closer to regaining her stability. Plus, if you know of other resources, such as companies or charitable organizations, that could lend a hand in this situation, please send me a message. Thank you so much in advance!

Can You Donate and Ask Others to Donate?

Let's rally behind Sabrina in her hour of need. Let's show her that while a fire may have taken her home, it cannot take away love and support from her family, friends, and community.
