Dear friends,

Hurricane Helene has left my best friend of 20 years in financial ruin. Her family home, located in Clearwater Beach, FL has been destroyed due to the severe flooding brought on by the storm surge. Virtually nothing in this home was salvageable. Sadly, Sabrina did not retain flood insurance on this home since it had never flooded in the 54 years that it’s been in her family. Making matters worse, she depleted her savings over the last year doing extensive renovations on this home as she was preparing to sell it. Watching the toll that this is taking on her physical and mental health is absolutely heartbreaking. If you have the ability to spare anything, it would mean the world to me. Being in so far away in Houston, I feel completely helpless. Any money raised will be used to help repair water damage, replace things like flooring, walls, appliances and furniture.
