Hey guys. It's me, Sabrina, and, boy, do I have a wild story for you!
Basically, I found out that I have a rare condition that only affects Black women (just in time for Black History Month, am I right??).
It’s called Florid Cemento-Osseous Dysplasia (FCOD). It's a condition where the jawbone is replaced by dense tissue. In most cases, it’s benign. However, in my case, it's actually made a cavity in my jawbone (literally, my front teeth are hanging on for dear life), and I need surgery to fix it. Surgery that my super amazing, totally not terrible insurance won’t cover. Any help combatting this racist, sexist disorder would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
