Hi everyone, I am asking for your help today. My brother and his wife were just given the scariest news possible.

My sister-in-law Sabrina has just been diagnosed with triple negative,stage 3 aggressive breast cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes.

She is so young, only 32 years old with two children ages 12 and 13. They live right here in Citrus County. Being such a young family and having kids is tough enough financially these days, let alone in this economy. Most families are just barely getting by, let alone adding in medical expenses that are catastrophic.

Sabrina is the Program Management Director for the YMCA and is responsible for helping the community with our school age children. She plays a huge part within our community with keeping those programs that all of our children get so much enjoyment from up and running. She wears many hats and is an integral part of what a selfless person is willing to do for more than just a job. Her intention is to continue to work as long as she can for as long as possible until her doctor tells her it’s unsafe.

Her husband Cameron Melkonian works for Citrus RV Mobile Service and services our RV community daily. He is out there in the community every single day no matter the heat or weather conditions making sure they are taken care of. This is a couple who strives to serve and help!

So Sabrina has to now fight! She literally just got this news and it’s rapidly growing at an alarming rate. She was just told that she will need a double mastectomy. She just found all of this out within a few short weeks. It’s growing so fast that they already installed a port so that they can start giving Sabrina the strongest, most aggressive chemo available immediately.

Medical bills are already hitting them. Poor thing went to the hospital to register and of course BAM! She had to pay $2700 right then and there for the port procedure. And that’s just the beginning! Each visit will cost them and they will cost a lot. If you’re not aware, Florida insurance has high deductibles and large co-pays. Some require the patient to pay the first 20%!

All funds donated will go towards Sabrina’s medical bills, medications, copays and medical supplies as needed.

Even just putting words of love and encouragement for Sabrina to read in the days ahead to help keep her spirits up are priceless. As you can imagine they are very overwhelmed, trying to circle the wagons and navigate a new normal.
