I am Saad, a father trying to take care of my family of 8. Right now we're displaced in Mawasi Khan Younis after the occupation forces completely destroyed our home. We have lost everything we had: our house, any sense of security, and the way we used to make a living.
We lived a simple life before all this. We did not have that much, but we had each other and enough to get by. The war changed everything, took it all away from us. Now we start from nothing.
Added to all, I am having some serious health problems. My blood pressure is high, and my spine discs are bothering me considerably. In addition, my feet are in terrible shape, causing me such pain that it is really difficult for me to walk properly, meaning I can't do as much physical work to support my family as I used to.
Today, all eight of us are living in a torn tent. When it's cold, we freeze. If it's hot, we're stuck in the heat with no relief. It's not a home, just something barely keeping the weather off us.
I am writing to seek your assistance, for we truly need help. Any small contribution will highly be appreciated at this point in our lives. We need a decent place to stay, food for the family, and medicine and treatment for my health conditions.
If you could help us live with at least some dignity and safety, we would greatly appreciate it.
