URGENT: Help S Escape their Abusive environment!
Hello, my name is Javier, and I am raising funds for my friend, S. S wants to remain semi-anonymous, which is why I'm making this GoFundMe in my name on his behalf. All funds directly go to S, not me.
I am raising £15,000 to help secure S an Airbnb to stay in, a laptop to continue pursuing and studying music production, and other necessities for them to leave their abusive home situation. THESE FUNDS ARE NEEDED URGENTLY!
S is a 22 year old, Black, queer, British music producer who is currently living in an abusive household. Their mother has not only put an alarm on their bedroom door, but has threatened to take all of their devices. Their mother has also threatened to put a camera inside of their room, to watch him at points of the day because she does not trust them or how they spend their time at home. This is not only a complete invasion of S's privacy, but it is abusive and demoralising. Not only does S have to deal with the stresses of their home life, but they may have to drop out of university after having to resit their final year amidst the pandemic and their home situation.
S is at a breaking point, and this is a matter of their safety, privacy, and mental health.
Their grandmother is chronically ill and wheelchair bound, which only causes more unhappiness. Any extra money made will go into helping their grandmother who they’ve been helping to care for, for 7 years after a tragic accident she had.
S is an extremely talented music producer who has taught themself how to produce, play piano and guitar and has also begun learning audio engineering. Despite this, their mother has threatened to take away or even break their musical equipment on several occasions during heated arguments. They were accepted into the Abbey Road institute’s prestigious Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering Course but was declined a scholarship meant for black students from working class backgrounds. Which meant that though they were accepted in, they could not attend because of fees amounting to £14,895. Their place has been held for a year, so despite this, they continue to pursue professional music production and engineering with all the time they have. Proof of this is linked below.
