What Makes a House a Home? Help Our Community Work!
Our dear neighbors and friends, Sage & Eric, were recently able to purchase the house they have been renting for the last eight years, we were all thrilled! Their dream come true soon turned into trauma as their home was burglarized two weeks later.
As a condition of the purchase it was required that the house be tented for termites. During the time the house was tented and they were away from it, thieves slit the tent, entered their home and garage, and robbed them. They took multiple bicycles, household items & kitchen appliances, most of the clothing & jewelry, and electronics. To make matters even worse, a few days later they returned and stole their car.
After the car was stolen, someone was photographing the house and they felt even more targeted. For those of you who actually do know them, you know that they are the most kind and giving people who will help anyone in a minute, now it’s our turn to help them as we can.
We have all been violated by this abhorrent act. We want to support our neighbors and community! People say, how can I help? Is there anything I can do? Yes! There is something you can do by donating any amount to help this sweet young couple restore not just some of the things that were taken from them, but the security of being safe and supported in the home that they love.
Yes, they will get some reimbursement from insurance, which may then affect their insurance payments. And now they not only need new clothes & appliances, but a car too, and all at once, not over time as we all tend to accumulate and pay for our useful or precious things. A security system is being added to the home, and locks and windows are being repaired to help Sage & Eric feel safe again.
Please consider contributing toward helping our friends & neighbors put their life back together. Thank you!
