Help Ryo Heal After Pitbull Attack

On June 19th 2025, our beloved 14-pound dog Ryo was viciously mauled by a pitbull who overpowered his owner in our neighborhood. The attack was sudden, violent, and left our sweet pup fighting for his life. He had to undergo emergency surgery costing $4,000, and just days later, doctors had to remove necrotic tissue, adding another $5,000 to our vet bills. He is still in recovery and requires frequent follow-up visits, which are projected to cost at least $1,000 more.

Tragically, our other dog Marshmallow was also attacked by the same pitbull. 6 month earlier. While his injuries were less severe, we still had to pay $4,000 to treat and stabilize him. back then we didn't know who the owners were we just knew the dog. we thought it was just a loose dog but it turned out to be our neighbor's dog just a few houses down...

We're devastated. We do not have pet insurance, and the total costs have already reached $14,000 — a heartbreaking and overwhelming burden for our family. To make matters worse, the pitbull’s owners refuse to take responsibility for any of the attacks — not just on our dogs, but also on a neighbor’s dog, who was attacked by the same pitbull 9 months before ours.

We fear for the safety of all pets (and people) in our neighborhood. We are currently exploring legal and animal control avenues, but right now, we need immediate help to cover the life-saving treatments for our dogs.
