Ryleigh is 2 years old, born at 29 weeks with many birth defects. While being seen by specialists close to home, specialists wanted to transfer her out to a bigger hospital facility with more experienced specialists/doctors in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. Ryleigh went through a major 13-hour surgery procedure on 5/27/25. With recovery being 6-8 weeks, that leaves her parents out of work for 2 months. Her parents were promised there would be resources provided to help out back at home once they were admitted into the hospital, but being that they are not residents of Philadelphia they do not qualify for the resources that are available. If things were communicated better, her parents would’ve had the opportunity to prepare for this hospital stay properly! Ryleighs mom and dad both recently started new positions and have not met the requirements for FMLA just yet. Ryleigh’s parents are asking for any type of donation that will help them stay afloat during this time of need, so they can focus solely on Ryleighs recovery.
