A little over a year ago, I was forced out of my job after enduring months of harassment and threats from a transphobic coworker. Over two months, I was threatened with assault multiple times. I reported it to management each time, but they did nothing to protect me. When I finally stood up for myself, I was fired.
Defending myself left me in a devastating financial position that I'm still fighting to get out of.
Now, just as I've been actively searching for new work, another critical setback has hit: my car battery has died completely. My car isn't just a convenience; it's my lifeline to rebuilding my life. Without it, I can't:
· Get to job interviews or drive for a potential new job.
· Make it to my important doctor's appointments.
· Even do basic things like get groceries.
This fundraiser's primary goal is to cover the cost of a replacement car battery. Getting my car running again is the single most important step I can take right now toward regaining my independence. Any additional funds raised will be put toward repairing exhaust leaks, which are a safety issue and need to be fixed to ensure the car is reliable for the long term.
This support would mean I can finally secure a job, afford my own food and necessities, and stop worrying about how I'll get to my next appointment.
After a year of instability, your support would be the hand up I need to get back on my feet—and back on the road. Every single contribution, no matter the size, would make a monumental difference to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me during this challenging chapter.
