Last week our playful 2 year old golden retriever Ryder suddenly came down with back pain that limits his hind leg mobility & ability to go to the bathroom. After taking him in to the Emergency Vet to address this pain, we learned that the doctors found a mass and blood in his lungs.

After a $8000 procedure with a biopsy that came back inconclusive, we are still looking for answers. The doctors believe its Lymphoma cancer, but aren't able to say for sure without further testing. We have a few options but they are all expensive and unfortunately we can't afford without help. At only two years old, he is still just a baby with so much life ahead of him.

The next recommended step is an MRI, which would give doctors a clearer picture of what’s happening in his spine and lungs and help confirm exactly what type of cancer or condition we are dealing with. If it is lymphoma, chemotherapy is a treatment option that many dogs respond well to. If the mass turns out to be benign, surgery could be an option to remove it.

We are being asked to put a price on his life, and that is something we simply cannot accept without doing everything we can first. We want to give Ryder every possible chance. Unfortunately, the cost of the MRI, further testing, and potential chemotherapy or surgery is far beyond what we can afford on our own.

We are asking for help to get answers and to give our baby boy the life he deserves. As a young couple who is still looking to get married & build a life together - we're doing all that we can for Ryder, but we need help. Please help us get some answers for our Ryder.
