Residents in Northern California are no strangers to wildfires.

OHM Solar Solutions employs several people who had their lives turned upside down just a few years ago in Paradise. Another Camp Fire survivor recently joined our team, and is already off to a hot start.

On Wednesday, August 9th, Ryan Medina’s family experienced a tragedy that only a raging wildfire can cause. Another electrical power line in Maui started a fire that quickly drove the entire state into an emergency evacuation.

Ryan’s mom and step-father are left with nothing but the clothes on their backs and a severely compromised van.

They were planning a round trip visit to California later in August and are currently working with the airline to arrange an earlier flight. One way. They will stay with Ryan’s aging grandparents until further notice.

Ryan’s family can use the contributions made by us to start over. They are in need of food, clothing, a vehicle, and basic necessities while they sort out employment and logistics. Ryan is near to his family, and they will now be nearby to us at OHM Solar Solutions in Chico.

Anything helps. We know this won’t be the last time the outdated grid wreaks havoc on families we know.
