Hi everyone,
My name is Ryan, and I’m writing this because my dad was scammed out of over $12,000 for dental implants, and now we’re trying to help him after it’s left him without teeth.
The last few years have been really rough for him especially. In 2020 he had a heart attack and collapsed, and since then there have been ongoing health issues including a stroke, brain bleed, multiple heart procedures and ongoing rehabilitation from the strokes. His nutritional status is diminished because he is unable to properly keep his nutrition at an optimal level, due to his teeth and his lack of hunger because of his medications.
Recently he tried to get upper dental implants so he could eat properly again and feel a bit more normal day to day. Over $12,000 was paid to a company called Smile Now Dental Implants for the treatment.
After taking the money, the company disappeared. They stopped answering phone calls, stopped replying to emails, and never started the work. Despite everything else going on, this has been yet another thing to drive him back.
So now he is left without his upper teeth and without any clear way to move forward with the treatment.
We also want to be upfront that we are genuinely grateful for the people around us who have supported us before, especially after his heart attack and business hardships. A lot of that support came from friends and people who know him through the community, and it has made a real difference over the years. We know it's not easy to ask again, but this situation has left us stuck trying to fix something that should not have happened in the first place.
For over a decade, he has been involved in youth rugby in Arizona. He has put in thousands of hours over the years helping kids, coaching, organising events, and making sure families who might not otherwise have the chance can still take part. He'd usually be the one there early setting things up and the last one to leave. A lot of people in Arizona's rugby community know him through that hard work and dedication.
We are trying to raise the money so he can actually get the dental treatment he was meant to have and while this won’t be enough to get him running on the rugby pitch again, it will allow him to find his smile again and that means the world of difference to him, his family, and friends who know of the warmth and happiness that smile brings.
If you're able to help, even a small amount makes a difference. If not, sharing this would still help a lot.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
