On May 29th an extraordinary friend, mother, wife, and daughter, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She’s one of the healthiest people I know and only 39 years old.
She had a “mass of dense tissue” that ran along her bra line, had a mammogram, MRI, and ultra sound, but they all came back as benign cysts.
After 6 months from finding the mass, the negative results of investigative procedures previously mentioned; a “breast health surgeon” telling her the MASSIVE, deformed, lump in both breasts, was due to stress and advised to “rub anti-stress rosemary oil” on her chest; she was referred to a different surgeon who did a biopsy and found the cancer.
Ryane was diagnosed with Stage 4 invasive lobular carcinoma, metastatic breast cancer. It has metastasized into her bones, bladder and abdomen.
Compounded medical issue: A renal scan found that a cancer related mass was keeping her kidneys from draining properly. Stents were placed in both utterers to help widen the flow. Unfortunately, the mass collapsed the stents and cut off flow to her bladder. Her kidneys began to shut down and the doctors had no choice, but to place nephrostomy bags in both kidneys, which she still has.
Ryane and her husband Richard have an inspiring love for each other. She is the mother of 4 incredible children, Vincent 12, Josephine 10, Stella 4 and her stepson Dylan. Ryane is a stay at home mom whose dream job and # 1 hobby is being involved with her kids.
Ryane has care teams at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, and MD Anderson in Texas. They are working in collaboration to create the best treatment plan for her as an individual.
She was diagnosed back in May 2019. She and Richard refused to request monetary donations from anyone, but at this point they could really use the help.
In addition to prayers and general help, please consider making a donation to support Ryane, Richard, Vincent, Josephine, Stella and Dylan. Your donations will go to:
· Insurance deductibles/co-pays
· Travel expenses to and from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas, and Moffitt in Tampa.
· Accommodations for gas, flights, food, and hotels for her and her family while traveling.
· Bandages, medical supplies, and dressing for her nephrostomy incision site and bags.
· Travel expenses when the numerous illnesses arise from her body trying to reject them.
Thank you for all your continued prayers, love, and support,
The friends & family of the Redgrave Family
