I've started this fundraiser for my dad (Ryan Wilson). He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday (2/23) after experiencing extreme chest pains since Friday night. Unfortunately these pains were a heart attack. One artery was 100% blocked and they rushed to put in a stent, and another artery is 95% blocked, but we are still waiting for him to be strong enough for the next stent to be put in. This was a huge MI, and this has done permanent damage to his heart muscle. We don’t know yet how much function can be regained, we just know he will be on a lot of medication.

Unfortunately, my dad does not have health insurance. He spent the last 6 years taking care of my grandmother in hospice at home until she died this past summer, so he has not had to think about himself for a while. His meds are going to be very expensive and today is his fourth day in the hospital, and with another procedure coming I know that bill will be sky high. On top of all of this, his job is very physically intense and we know it will not be safe for him to go back to work for quite a while after his procedure.

So, I’m starting this gofundme because I am all too aware of the monumental medical bills that are coming our way, and I will do anything right now to give my dad some peace of mind. For those of you who don’t know him, Dad is a hard worker, was a fisherman, a welder, and an avid musician. He’s one of the most talented and profound people you’ll ever meet. He is only 52 years old so we never saw this coming. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers while he is recovering.
