Help Ryan Smith's Family During His Last Days

In 2016, Ryan Smith was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, sarcoma, that occurs in the bones and soft tissue. After surgery and treatment, he was in remission. Unfortunately, in 2020, the cancer came back with a vengeance. He has been fighting since with 3 major surgeries, multiple rounds of chemo, and several rounds of radiation. He went only a few months here and there in remission since its return. All of the options have been explored, and he has been placed on hospice care. He was recently admitted to a hospice facility to provide him with as much comfort as possible during his last days.

As Ryan’s extremely lengthy battle with cancer is coming to an end, the financial burden of taking care of a passing loved one is taking its toll on his family. All of the PTO has been used, and Wanda has been forced to make the excruciating decision to return to work. No mother should have to choose between paying the bills or being by her dying child’s side during his last days.
