My name is Ryan Hosseini. I’ve been playing tennis since I was eight years old, and this year I discovered pickleball, a sport that instantly became my passion.
In my first tournament ever, the Warrnambool Classic, I won two gold medals in singles and doubles. Since then, I’ve been training five days a week and working hard to compete at higher levels.
I’ve now competed in multiple Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) competitions, where I’ve won three gold medals, along with multiple podium finishes, including three bronzes and one silver. These achievements have pushed me to grow as a player and set bigger goals for my future.
I also competed in a tournament in Traralgon, where I earned a triple crown (singles, doubles, and mixed doubles). While this was a big accomplishment, my proudest achievement so far has been competing in the National Pickleball League (NPL), playing at a high level against some of the best athletes in Australia.
This year, I also won the Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) event in Geelong, which qualified me for the Australian Championships. After winning at the National level in Brisbane, my team and I now have the opportunity to compete at the MiLP Championships in Dallas, Texas, this December.
Heading to Dallas – December 2025
In December 2025, I will be travelling to Dallas, Texas, to represent Australia at the Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) Championships, after qualifying through wins in Geelong and at the Australian Championships in Brisbane.
Why I need your Support
There are currently no grants or financial support programs for junior pickleball players in Australia. Competing interstate and internationally, while continuing high-level training, comes with significant costs. Your support will help cover:
• Flights & accommodation
• Coaching, court hire & high-performance training
• Gear (paddles, shoes, clothing, balls)
• Tournament entry fees
• Pickleball centre membership for training
Every contribution - large or small - helps me continue chasing my dream.
Thank you so much for supporting me. It truly means a lot.
