Last Wednesday in Oakland, California, my friend Ryan had all his belongings stolen from his U-Haul. Most of everything he owns is gone. His clothes, shoes, money, and priceless family mementos that he will never get back.

I am creating this to hopefully recoup some of the costs of the stolen goods. Renters insurance will only cover items for which he can provide receipts. Oakland police are too overwhelmed with the sheer amount of crime and violence that has plagued this once great and beautiful community over the past couple of years.

This is yet another unfortunate example of city mismanagement, oversight, and the rising issues Oakland is currently facing.

Stick it to the man - stick it to insurance and stick it to the po po and donate to Ryan if you can!
