Hello Friends and Family,
The Avocet Additions Design & Build Team is coming together and asking for your support and prayers to help Ryan Watters recover from a devastating motorcycle accident. Some of you may have seen on the news Friday, November 12, around 6:30pm a major motorcycle accident occurred on Eastwood Road in Wilmington. Ryan was traveling to dinner with friend and coworker, Brandon Hayes. Brandon was following Ryan in his truck when Ryan was struck on his motorcycle. Brandon's quick thinking and military training ultimately saved Ryan's life; from contacting 911 to administering a tourniquet. Ryan sustained severe injuries to his right leg, unfortunately leading to his leg being amputated above the knee. He is currently in the ICU and has undergone multiple surgeries as of today.
We are asking for donations to help Ryan with the recovery process and the rehab expenses. Mostly we are asking for prayers and well wishes for Ryan and his family as he begins this long journey of healing. We aren't sure of everything that Ryan will need on his journey yet, however, your donations will go towards a prosthetic, rehabilitation, physical therapy, counseling, and everyday expenses that come with being out of work for 6 months to a year.
Ryan has been a lead carpenter with Avocet Additions and helped improve many people's lives with his skills and wit. Anyone who knows Ryan knows his upbeat, bright personality and fun-loving nature. He is a man who loves adventure and lives life to the fullest. While this recovery will take time and strength, we look forward to helping anyway we can every step of the way. He is a daily weight lifter and we look forward to seeing him back in the gym also!
