My name is Ryan Cloutier. I have set up the GoFundMe because unfortunately, life happens. I lost my job and my marriage on the same day. As the main provider for the family, I am currently unable to reestablish a new life while still meeting my obligations to my previous life. Unemployment has obviously made this more difficult. While I am actively seeking work, there is a gap that needs to be covered.

I wrestled with myself quite a bit before making this post as it was very difficult for me to do, but as I have taught many people to do, when you are in need of help, put your shame, your pride, and your stubbornness to the side and simply ask for the help. You’ll be surprised what people will do.

For those of you in the cyber security community, you may know of me and my contributions to the community. I love helping other people in all the ways that I can, and I will continue to do so. This is my heartfelt ask for your help in one of my most urgent times of need.

If you’re able to spare any amount at all, it will help me so much in reestablishing a new life in which I can continue to contribute to the betterment of the world. There is an unnamed benefactor who will match any contribution I receive. I intend to use this money to reestablish myself in a stable, safe place to live. Any donations in excess of my needs will be redirected back to the community in the form of donations to various causes that support workforce development, veterans, neurodiversity, disabled individuals, cyber security training, and those in need of assistance in escaping domestic abuse situations.

This is my heartfelt plea for your assistance. Any support of any amount will have a tremendous impact on restoring my mental health and ultimately will benefit others for decades to come.
