Help Ryan overcome the unimaginable.

Hello! My name is Liz, and I’m trying to spread my boyfriend’s story and ask for some desperately needed help.

My boyfriend, Ryan, and I have been together for nearly 8 years now. We started dating my freshman year of high school and have been inseparable ever since. We moved in together just over two years ago, and we finally began our lives.

In 2024, our whole world got turned upside down with one diagnosis: Rhabdomyosarcoma. Each week became doctors' appointments, every scan imaginable, and hours upon hours of driving back and forth between New Jersey and Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Since diagnosis, he’s had three surgeries now. His first was tumor resection and chest wall reconstruction. 18 hours total. 24 hours under. Six ribs removed. Major skin graft. Skin graft split open, requiring his second surgery. Many, many drains. Even more stitches. These surgeries combined left him hospitalized for a month.

Life settled down long enough for him to return back to work just one month and change later; until his three-month scan. They found more growth in his spine, which he received radiation for, and abnormalities in his left testis, which was just removed today, July 3rd, 2025, his third surgery.

Just a few weeks ago, June 17th, 2025, Ryan was laid off from work. Not only does that leave us without his income, more importantly, it leaves us without his health insurance. We have no clue how many more treatments he’s going to need, and if his radiation has worked yet. All we know is that we’re going to need help. At just 21 and 23 years old, we are in way over our heads, facing the unimaginable.

Any donations from this GoFundMe will be considered a personal gift and will be put towards Ryan’s medical expenses going forward, assist with rent, bills, and day-to-day necessities while he proceeds with different treatments.
