Help Ryan Heal: Musician in Need

On April 9, 2025, our dear friend and gifted musician Ryan Howard suffered a serious heart attack that required emergency care and hospitalization. Ryan is currently in recovery and is expected to be out of work for at least 90 days as he regains his strength and focuses on healing.

For over 15 years, Ryan has shared his incredible talent as a pianist, bandleader, and collaborator across the Austin music scene. Whether performing at jazz festivals, intimate clubs, churches, or community events, Ryan has lifted hearts with his music and brought joy to countless audiences. His contributions to the Women in Jazz Association, Inc., and to musicians and fans alike, have made him a respected and beloved figure in our artistic community.

Now, it’s our turn to show Ryan the same love and support he has shown us.
