Help Ryan Get Lifesaving Treatment for His Rare Illnesses
Hi everyone,
I’m writing with a heavy heart to ask for help for my partner, Ryan, who is gravely ill and in urgent need of specialized medical care.
Ryan is battling several complex, life-altering conditions, including:
Gastroparesis , which has caused his digestive system to virtually stop working. He can’t absorb nutrients, digest food, or have bowel movements without intervention. He’s lost over 150 pounds, and at this point, he is truly skin and bones.
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS ) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS ), which together have triggered the gastroparesis and continue to wreak havoc on his body.
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS ) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS ), which leave him dizzy, exhausted, and often bedridden.
These conditions are incredibly rare and misunderstood, and no doctors in our area have the knowledge or experience to treat him. After months of searching, we’ve finally found a clinic that specializes in these conditions—but it’s 3.5 hours away, and they don’t accept insurance.
We are trying to raise $4,500 to cover:
- $2,200 for Ryan’s initial evaluation
- $2,000 for two follow-up visits
- Travel and lodging costs, since Ryan’s condition makes it impossible for him to manage a 7-hour round trip in one day
Ryan has been on disability for over 20 years and barely gets by financially. These medical expenses are far beyond what we can afford—but without this care, his health will continue to decline.
If you are able to donate, even a small amount, it would make a huge difference in Ryan’s chance at stabilizing his health and improving his quality of life.
If you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others. Every bit of help, every share, brings us one step closer to the care he desperately needs.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us.
With all our gratitude,
Daniel & Ryan
