Hello, we are making this GoFundMe because last night our son's mobility device was stolen from our apartments. Our son Ryan has had many medical issues since the age of 3. He lost all ability to talk and communicate in any way, lost the ability to use the toilet, to dress or feed himself, and he can only walk for short distances at a time. Our family has been struggling financially as he is the youngest of 5 kids, and we have had to miss a lot of work to try and help him in any way we can. Our family has experienced so many setbacks in the last year, including car troubles, which has made us rely on walking and public transportation, making Ryan's wheelchair so much more important. We in no way can afford the close to $4000 that this specialized wheelchair would cost us. At the moment, we are struggling even to keep a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs; there is no extra money for us to be able to get anything more. Without his wheelchair, Ryan is basically trapped as he cannot walk far, and he is much too big to carry. We have nowhere else to turn and are just looking for some way to get a wheelchair for our son and hopefully a little room to breathe.
