Help Ryan get his life back!!

On September 7th I was in an accident where I fell onto a concrete parking. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but later that week I started to have pain in my back. I immediately went to the chiropractor and had X-rays taken. Nothing seemed terribly out of wack. Then 2 weeks later I woke up and went to step out of bed only to almost fall again because I was numb from the waist down.

The following week I went to the doctor and had an MRI. I have 2 herniated discs in my lumbar spine. The L5/S1 is so bad that it is pushing into my nerve root on both sides causing me to be numb from waist down and both legs. This is also causing muscle spasms and weakness in my legs. The pain I’m in is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. 

I can barely walk anymore. I started on a cane and now I am having to use a walker. My legs are stiff all the time.  I have tried everything at this point(Chiropractor, acupuncturist, physical therapy) Nothing has helped. It has just gotten worse. 

I am almost totally immobile at this point. I am not going to be able to work. I am scared I’m going to lose EVERYTHING. I have spent all my savings on the doctors and treatments. 

The last option I have is a lumbar discectomy surgery. This is where they go in and trim the part of the disc that is pushing into my nerve root. Without this surgery I will most likely lose my ability to walk and have permanent nerve damage. 

This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I am a very independent person and have rarely faced a problem I couldn’t handle on my own. I need help to raise the money for the surgery and to cover my recovery time. Anyone who knows me knows that I would give the shirt off my back to help people. I would do anything I can. I’m now reaching out to you all to help me.
