Hello!!! My name is Kim Durbin. I am an elementary school teacher. Throughout
my few years of teaching I have met a lot of students that have brought me a lot of joy. I have learned so much from many of them.
one particular was Ryan. He is a great kid. He has not had it easy. He is a born fighter and is up to any challenge. He wanted a nice bike. His parents could have bought it for him but instead taught him about money and buying it himself. Ryan set out to set up a business. He did lawn work and clean up to earn money for the bike.
His day came when he was able to get it. His excitement was that he could ride it to school.
He bought a good lock and rode it to school. Well, in the meantime, someone was watching. Some terrible person came to the school while Ryan was doing what he was supposed to be doing and they cut his lock with a cable cutter and his pride and joy was gone!!! Just like that.
Now, why am I doing this for him.? Well, he is a great kiddo. He is respectful, and works very hard. He is very kind to his friends and he would help you out any way he could.
He is raised in a family that teaches him right from wrong. My heart feels bad that someone that was not taught that took it away from him. Any help would be appreciated to make our goal. I would love to present him with a replacement bike from people that care about him.
