On 12/11, I was involved in an unexpected accident that resulted in a serious injury and emergency surgery. After several days in the hospital, I’m now home and beginning a slow recovery process.

While I’m grateful the surgery was successful, the timing has been challenging. I’m currently limited in mobility and unable to work as I normally do, and we’re also preparing to welcome our baby this March. Medical bills from the hospital stay, surgery, and follow-up care haven’t fully arrived yet, but we know there will be significant out-of-pocket costs ahead.

Our insurance deductible is $8,500, so this fundraiser is intended to help cover that portion of the medical costs, along with any related recovery expenses that follow. While the visible goal may adjust as the fundraiser progresses, our primary financial need is covering that deductible.
