Help Ryan Clute after a carjacking

On , February 18th at 8pm, our friend and fellow New Orleans musician, Ryan Clute was loading some items into his car. He left the car running and as he was loading the car, a young man bashed his head into the vehicle and jumped into the drivers seat and stole Ryan’s car. 

Not only was Ryan’s car stolen, but an iPad, $2K worth of cash from a recent gear sell-off and a MacBook Air were also stolen. 

The absolutely infuriating part of the whole story is that Ryan tracked the vehicle and reported it to the police and they won’t do anything to retrieve the vehicle, citing that they are understaffed and overworked. 

In a year that has been particularly gutting for performing musicians, getting a car stolen is the grey icing on the cake. Ryan and his girlfriend Katie are now left without any means of transportation and facing a financial burden with no end in sight. 

Ryan Clute has been a stalwart of the New Orleans music scene, playing in original and cover bands for nearly 20 years. Ryan is has always given of his talents in an incredibly generous way. It’s our turn now to help Ryan recover from this devastating financial and mental/emotional trauma by contributing to this GoFund Me. No contribution is too small and thank you for your donation!
