We all know how important pets are to us all. We'd do everything in our power to make sure they are comfortable. When they're sick, we do everything we possibly can to get them feeling better. Unfortunately, sometimes everything is not enough, and the financial burden of final care and efforts is there in a time of immense grief.
Starting this in the hopes, Ryan can put effort into celebrating the memory of their beloved animal and not the money they owe the animal hospital.
A trip to the emergency vet unveiled some longer standing congenital issues that treatment could only do so much for. Ultimately continuing would have been unfair to Creature and put him through unnecessary suffering. It starting as an emergency vet visit which led to surgery, blood transfusions, pressers, one on one care and facility costs, which all contributed to creating a very high vet bill, in a very short amount of time.
The total vet bill comes out to around $11K, which is a very big number and hoping to recoup as much as possible.
Anything given is greatly appreciated! You can also purchase Ryan's new zine, SCREAM, for sliding scale $5-$10.
Ryan is a disabled, trans visual artist and poet in the middle of a case with social security to get on SSDI, a long and ardeous process.
Creature was a 3 year old creator of mischief and joy, who was the best friend of Ryan's dog, Elton. He loved heated blankets, stealing food, and wasn't afraid of anything. There is an aching void without him.
