Hey there! My name is Amanda, and I created this go fund me account for my son Ryan, so we could raise money to go towards a once in a lifetime experience! He was invited to go to this program called National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Pathways to STEM.

It’s a program that seeks the most mature and independent students in our region! Ryan was chosen to be invited because his teacher recognized his exceptional maturity, scholastic merit and leadership potential! He has the opportunity to experience and learn new things! Like how to program a robot, learn about detective work and how to solve a crime scene, and even the broad range of medicine!

Although this is such an awesome invitation and even the thought that my child was considered for something so spectacular, it does come with a pretty penny. A penny that was unexpected, and I am trying to find any way possible to make this experience happen for my son. Any help is greatly appreciated, even just sharing this post so it can reach others, really helps and I appreciate every bit of it! The total cost for this program is $3,399 and we need to have him registered and paid by February 18th. So we have a little over a month to figure out and come up with the money and everything. Hence why I created this gofundme account (lol).

Anyways, little back story… Ryan is about to turn 11 this month. He is in the 5th grade, and has kept all A’s all year so far! He’s also in the gifted class, which he goes to twice a week during school. Ryan is a very sweet and kind loving kid, with a heart of gold. He loves anything to do with sports, especially basketball! That kid eats, sleeps and breathes basketball (lol) He is very excited about this opportunity, and I’m really hoping with the help of others we can make this happen.
