❤️Update for Ryan and Mindy❤️
We come to you with a heavy but faith-filled heart.
As many of you know, precious baby Fae has been surrounded by love as family gathered close. In the midst of those sacred moments, another unimaginable loss occurred. Laurie Ann — Ryan’s mom — passed away suddenly in her sleep.
In the same breath that this family was preparing to say goodbye to one precious life, Heaven called another. The weight of this is beyond words. A son grieving his child… and his mother. A family holding each other through shock, sorrow, and sacred goodbyes.
We know God is near to the brokenhearted. We know He does not waste tears. And we trust that Laurie Ann’s arms were there to receive baby Fae — because that is how a grandmother’s love works. But even with faith, the pain here on earth is real and deep.
At this time, the need is not for hospital expenses, but for everything that follows loss — funeral arrangements, time away from work, travel, and the many unseen costs that come when life changes overnight.
If you have given, shared, or prayed — thank you. You are part of God’s provision. If you feel led to continue sharing or supporting, please do. Every act of generosity is a tangible reminder that this family is not walking through this valley alone.
Please keep lifting up Ryan and the entire family. Pray for supernatural strength. Pray for peace that defies understanding. Pray for light in the darkest valley.
God is still present. Even here.
Please pray for my precious cousin Ryan Lurker and Mindy to support Baby Fae Grace.
There are moments in life that take your breath away — not because they are beautiful, but because they are unimaginable. Ryan and Mindy are walking through one of those moments.
When their precious baby girl, Fae Grace, was born weighing 5 pounds 8 ounces, what should have been filled with joy quickly became filled with concern. From the very beginning, Ryan kept telling the nurses and pediatrician that her tiny feet were purple and blue. He asked again and again, “Is this normal?” A father’s instinct was stirring.
They were discharged, but the uneasiness never left.
Within days, Fae Grace saw the pediatrician… then a lactation specialist… then back again. They were only home one short weekend before everything changed.
They rushed her to Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital ER, where doctors immediately took her back and began bagging her to help her breathe.
Test after test was run — bacterial, viral — and the only positive result was the common cold. But her platelet count was critically low at 5,000. Doctors began fighting for her life — antibiotics, antivirals, platelet transfusions, blood transfusions.
She was septic — an infection in her blood that damaged her heart and lungs. Her tiny body was not getting proper blood flow to the lower half. By the grace of God, the upper half was receiving enough circulation to sustain her. She has also been experiencing silent seizures.
One pediatric cardiologist told Ryan that he made the right call from the beginning — Fae Grace should never have been discharged without being evaluated by a cardiologist. That father’s voice mattered.
Now they are at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where they specialize in caring for babies this small and fragile. Fae Grace is on ECMO — a machine that is circulating her blood and keeping her alive while her heart and lungs rest and heal.
This precious family is facing the unimaginable. They are standing in unknown waters no parent ever prepares to navigate. The hospital room has become sacred ground — a place of tears, whispered prayers, and fierce faith.
Ryan and Mindy have not left her side.
We are asking for bold, mountain-moving prayers. Pray for complete healing over Fae Grace’s heart, lungs, brain, and every cell in her body. Pray for protection from further damage. Pray for strength, wisdom, and supernatural peace over Ryan and Mindy as they sit beside their baby girl.
We are also asking for support for expenses, travel, lodging, meals, and lost income add up quickly while they focus solely on their daughter. If you feel led to give, any amount helps lighten the burden so they can pour all their strength into loving and fighting for Fae Grace.
Please share. Please pray. Please stand in the gap with this family.
God is still a miracle-working God. And little Fae Grace is fighting.
