My name is Ryan, and I am a veteran living with PTSD and Major depressive disorder as a result of my service in the US Army. Every day is a challenge, and I have struggled for years with the weight of these conditions. Crowded places can be overwhelming, and nightmares often disrupt my sleep, making it difficult to find peace and stability.

Let me introduce you to Velma, my future service dog. She is 2 years old, and I have been working with her for just a week now, but we have already built a deep bond. Velma is gentle, attentive, and incredibly intuitive—her presence has already started to make a difference in my life.
