Help Ry Recover from Emergency Surgery

On September 8 I went to the ER in Brooklyn for severe abdominal pain. The following morning, Sept 9, I had an emergency appendectomy laparoscopically. The surgery went well, and I am on the path toward a swift recovery, but I need your help!
I work primarily as a freelance set builder and props assistant for media production here in New York. Because my job requires a lot of lifting of heavy equipment, and set pieces, I had to give up several jobs this month. I can’t lift more than 6 lbs (!) until October 6 (according to my surgeon!).
As a freelancer, I have no sick leave pay. I am lucky to have health insurance that covered everything.
After my surgery I posted on instagram and a lot of friends sent me a total amount float to $1000. I am so grateful to those that were able to help me at that time.
I’m asking for $2,000 which will cover the work I lost while I am unable to work. Anything helps (any amount, or a share!)
