I am Ruthie Frazier Burks, married with two children and, 3 grandchildren. All within a year my husband survived a massive heart attack and I was diagnosed with stage 2 type 3 invasive carcinoma breast cancer which has become a turning point in my life's journey. This transformative experience has awakened a deep sense of purpose and determination within me, and I am committed to overcoming this challenge. As a shining example of hope and resilience, I trust that my faith will be the guiding force that carries me through the darkest moments and into a brighter tomorrow. This journey has not only impacted me but also the lives of my loved ones. My three grandchildren have been a constant source of inspiration, and I am eager to create more memories with them. Prior to serious illness, my husband and I purchased a new home and vehicle, and the loss of our income during medical leave has presented financial hurdles, however I remain steadfast in my determination. With 25 years of service to the county, I am grateful for the support. I am surrounded by loved ones who encourage me to seek help when needed, and I am emerging stronger and more courageous with each passing day.
