Help Ruth with Dental Costs

Hello!

I'm Ruth. My dentist informs me that my back right bottom molar needs a root canal and crown, and one of the molars on the top left needs a crown. Oh, and there are a few other fillings that need to happen. The fillings are less of a stressor. I can handle those myself (well, the paying for them… I have no intention of filling my own teeth). But a root canal and two crowns will cost approximately $4,500, and that I don’t have and can’t get on my own in a timely manner. And this needs to be taken care of. Last weekend, all of a sudden, that back bottom molar went from “everything is fine” to “if my food/beverage isn’t within a specific temperature range, it hurts to eat.”

I don’t know what a cold lightning bolt would look like, but that’s about what it feels like when something that is the wrong temperature gets cozy with that tooth. Thankfully, at this point, there is no sensitivity to pressure. The other molar, where “just” a crown is needed, isn’t painful yet, but there’s a weird nook between the extant filling and the tooth that is starting to catch food and be difficult to clean out. So… sooner rather than later would be good.
