Hi friends,

I'm a friend and co-worker of Ruth Lamm, and I am starting this fundraiser to help Ruth get through the long, hard journey of battling cancer. She was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer and has already undergone two surgeries. Just this week she started her first of twelve rounds of chemotherapy over a six-month period.

I am not intimately familiar with Ruth's health insurance, but as someone who just beat cancer with some of the best insurance, I can tell you that it's an expensive ride. The increase in medical costs coupled with the decrease in income from not being able to work adds an additional layer of stress that she doesn't need, so I'm hoping together we can help her ease that pain a bit.
