Hi, my name is Nyla and I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult time. My brother Doug’s house in Gibbon, MN, recently caught fire. Doug was not at home when it happened, but his three beautiful dogs were inside. Tragically, two of the dogs were lost in the fire, and the third, Rusty, is now being treated in a metro pet hospital.

Rusty is a 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier who has been in the hospital since last Friday, receiving treatment for severe smoke inhalation. The veterinarians have told us that Rusty will survive, but his recovery will be a slow and challenging process. The emotional toll on our family has been immense, and we are doing everything we can to support Doug and help Rusty heal.
