With a heavy heart, I’m sharing the story of a very special dog, Rusty, who recently lost his beloved owner, my brother Patrick. After Patrick’s passing, our family had no other choice but to re-home Rusty. A sweet lady who recently lost her own dog offered to take him in after seeing our post on a rescue site. Rusty is now adjusting to a whole new world without the person he loved most. After many prayers, we felt like this was meant to be.

However, since she was kind enough to take him in, I hate to put the first vet bill on her. Unfortunately, Rusty is in need of everything—vaccinations, a physical exam, heartworm prevention, and more. We want to make sure he receives everything he needs to be comfortable, healthy, and loved in his new home. I would like to help cover this expense for her, as vet bills can be outrageous.
