My name is Russell Smith. I am due to have hip surgery in about three weeks. The surgery is going to take me out of work for approximately one month. My insurance will cover a portion of the medial costs but not all of it. Additionally, I have no way to cover my general living expenses - including my mortgage. I have lived in my home since 1991 and recently applied for a reverse mortgage thinking that it would be the answer to my prayers. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for a traditional or reverse mortgage. At this point, I don't know what to do. I have always been able to take care of myself and my finances. Asking for help is foreign to me but at this point, I don't have any other options. If it is on you heart to help me, this is the best platform for that help.
