Help Russell Care for Kevin Hensley

Hello Everybody,

My name is Chase and I'm reaching out today to ask for your help. My father, Kevin Hensley, has recently suffered a few drastic health issues, both physical and neurological. Back in May, he suffered a stroke that landed him in the hospital. While there, he suffered several more strokes and was also diagnosed with heart failure. While my brother, Russell, was tending to him in the hospital and finding time to work, my wife and I came out to visit and help.

While my father was usually in a pleasant mood and was optimistic about working hard to get better, we soon realized his memory had been greatly impacted. Though he recognized us and was happy to see us, we found that he didn't remember our visits from the previous days. This past week, I spoke with Russell and my father on the phone and found that he doesn't even remember us coming out to Utah to visit him in the hospital.

Russell has stepped away from his job in order to stay home and take care of my father and give him the support and attention he needs. Since then, his memory has declined even more and his speech hasn't improved. Russell is doing a great job making sure my father is safe and taken care of, but he needs our help with funds to cover his bills while he's getting through the long long list of doctors appointments and the never-ending process of trying to get my father's medical insurance and support handled.

Hopefully, within a couple months the doctors appointments and the medical insurance paperwork will finally be processed through their agencies and we will be able to provide more stable assistance for my father. In the meantime, I'm asking for donations to help Russell make up for his loss of wages while he's taking care of my father. Please donate what you can and share this with your friends and family.
