Help Russell Butler Recover

Hello everyone,

My name is Derek Pope and I am starting a GFM Fundraiser on behalf of my best friend and brother from another mother, Russell Butler. 

Russ has recently been hospitalized with some several very serious and life threatening medical complications. Most of which he has asked for me to not disclose, but they are related to Hypertension due to high blood-pressure causing bleeding on his brain and his inability to properly treat his Type-2 diabetes due to lack of sufficient insurance benefits. 

Russell makes his living on a day to day basis providing all types of services for people. So being hospitalized means he has absolutely zero income at the moment. His condition will not afford him the ability to make income for some time now and even after he is released from the hospital. 

I am asking for any one who is able, and who loves and cares for Russell as much as I do, to please donate any amount you can to help him survive and make ends meet until he is able get back to what he does best. 

I have never had a more caring, compassionate, loving, non-judgemental, 
kind-hearted and giving friend than Russ.So I am praying that we can garner enough donations to help him through this. 

I know he has touched many of you that know him as well and we are desperately and humbly begging for your help so he can get through this and have some comfort and semblance of his normal life once he begins to recover. 

Russ, I love you, and you’ll never know truly what you mean to me. I’m sure there are many MANY others that feel the same. Help is on the way friend. Hang tight and heal.
