Help Russel After a Lifetime of Caring for His Sister Tammy

Hi everyone,

My name is Jesse, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Russel, who has been the selfless and devoted caregiver to his lovely sister Tammy for the past 14 years.

Fourteen years ago, Tammy was diagnosed with ALS and was given just 2 to 3 years to live. But if you knew Tammy, you'd know that she's a fighter. She has faced each day with courage and strength, far outliving the doctors' prediction. However, the time has come when the peace for her is near. Tammy has recently become very ill and is currently in hospice.

Tammy and Russel were born and raised in Rhode Island. Tammy went to become a beloved teacher on Cape Cod. From what I've heard, she was one of those truly special teachers who took the time to connect with each and every student. She made a lasting impact on so many young lives.

When Tammy became confined to her wheelchair full-time, Russel knew there was no one else who could care for her like he could. So, after 25 years at UPS, he left his career behind and took on the role of Tammy's full-time caregiver. Russel moved Tammy to Florida, where he had a long-time friend in Sarasota who was also willing to lend a hand. For the past six years, Russel has poured his heart and soul into giving Tammy the best life possible.

But caring for Tammy took everything he had - Emotionally, physically, and financially. Russel has used up his entire savings to ensure that Tammy's final years were filled with love, dignity, and comfort. Russel is too humble to ask for help, so I am doing it for him.
