At the beginning of September, Russ’s entire family contracted Covid 19. While the rest of the family recovered, Russ continued to get worse and eventually was hospitalized on September 13th. Two weeks later, he was sedated, placed on a ventilator and feeding tube, and moved into the ICU. He spent 15 days on a ventilator! Once his health started to improve, and doctors determined that he could begin to breathe on his own again, they removed him from the ventilator. Russ then spent another week and a half in ICU before medical staff removed his feeding tube and relocated him to a standard hospital room. Currently, Russ is out of the hospital and in a rehab facility helping him recover from his illness. Russ is re-learning how to swallow, walk and breathe, working toward the day his life will be back to normal.
Russ hasn’t been able to work since the beginning of September and with the bills and medical expenses starting to come in, the family could use some help. Russ’s portion of the rehab facility is $250 a day alone! Anything you are able to donate will help ease the worry and stress of how to support his family and pay for medical expenses, allowing Russ to focus on healing and returning to his family, friends, and IT colleagues at the Bank.
Please give what you can. Thank you!
