Russ Graff, my brother, has always been someone who values his independence and rarely asks for help. On the morning of December 22, 2025, his life changed in an instant. Living out in the Arizona desert near Seligman, Russ woke up to his pre-fab tiny home engulfed in flames caused by a space heater. He managed to crawl out just before a propane tank exploded, destroying everything he owned. The blast was so powerful it tossed him out and left him unconscious for a while. When he came to, Russ realized that everything was gone—his home, his belongings, and the sense of security he had built for himself.

The Red Cross has stepped in to provide him with a place to stay for a couple of days, and friends are doing what they can to help. But Russ is still shaken and trying to figure out how to move forward. He is determined to stay on his property so he can continue to help care for Jeremiah, but he needs support to make that possible. The funds raised will go directly toward securing temporary housing, rebuilding his home, and replacing the essentials he lost in the fire.
