It’s hard to find the words to write this, but today I’m asking for help for the man I love with all my heart—my fiancé, Russ. Russ has recently been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. What started in his prostate has now spread to his bones and bladder, and our world has been turned upside down. Every day brings doctor appointments, treatments, difficult conversations, and so many unknowns—but through it all, we are holding tightly to our faith in God.
If you know Russ, you know he’s so much more than this diagnosis. He’s a loving father to his two daughters, a proud stepfather to two more children, and a deeply loved grandfather to 12 beautiful grandchildren who absolutely adore him. He is the kind of man who loves deeply, works hard, shows up for the people he loves, and would do anything for his family. He has spent his life being strong for everyone around him. Now he’s facing the toughest battle of his life.
Watching someone you love fight cancer is heartbreaking in ways words can’t fully describe. There are moments of fear, pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty. But even in these darkest days, we believe God is bigger than any diagnosis. We are leaning on His promises, His strength, and His grace one day at a time.
As Russ focuses on treatments and fighting this disease, the financial burden of medical expenses, medications, travel, and everyday living costs continues to grow. I’m humbly asking for help—whether through a donation, sharing this page, or lifting Russ up in prayer. No gift is too small, and every prayer means more than you know. Please pray for healing.
