Hi, my name is Donata and I am fundraising for my wonderful niece Rusnė.

Four years ago, my sister's family was blessed with an extraordinary girl, Rusnė. Her arrival brought endless love, but also new challenges they face every day. Rusnė was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and as a result, she works tirelessly each day to improve her future.

Her daily routine includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, hippotherapy, and various rehabilitation sessions, all aimed at strengthening her body and helping her achieve both small and big victories. It’s a constant, demanding effort. These therapies can be exhausting, and there are moments filled with tears, frustration, and the overwhelming sense that things are just too difficult. But Rusnė has proven time and time again how strong, determined, and incredibly resilient she is. Each of her achievements is the result of her sheer will and hard work. We are incredibly proud of her!

There is no other choice — if Rusnė stops working hard and fighting, the freedom of movement will remain just a dream.

However, therapy alone is not enough. Rusnė’s left leg muscles are still tense and spastic, which severely limits her movement. Now, she urgently needs an SPML (Selective Percutaneous Myofascial Lengthening) surgery. This minimally invasive procedure helps reduce muscle tension and spasticity, allowing her to move without pain or restrictions. It will give Rusnė the chance to walk more freely, run, jump, and even dance!

Unfortunately, this surgery is not available in Lithuania, so my sister's family must turn to foreign specialists. While the exact cost is still pending (waiting for a consultation with a doctor in Greece), the estimated amount needed for the procedure is between €17,000 and €20,000. After the surgery, Rusnė will require rehabilitation. Rehabilitation center in Poland, with an estimated cost of about €5,000.
