Hi everyone,

My name is Caitlin, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my friend and coworker Ruslana, who is currently facing a critical moment in her journey toward building a new life in Canada.

Over 3 years ago, Ruslana fled her home country after war broke out in February of 2022, leaving behind everything familiar in search of safety and stability. After spending several difficult months back home during a period of intense conflict, her mental and emotional well-being were severely impacted. With the support of her family, she made the brave decision to come to Canada in hopes of finding peace and starting over.

Since arriving in July of 2022, she's worked hard to build a life here - making connections, contributing to her community, and beginning to heal from the trauma of war. Now, she's taking the next step: applying for permanent residency.

However, the legal fees and immigration costs are more than she can manage on her own. These fees are vital to securing her future, but they're creating a significant financial burden at a time when she's still rebuilding.

That's where we're asking for your help.

We're raising money to help cover:

- legal representation and consultation fees

- immigration application processing fees

- document translation and certification costs

- other related administrative expenses
