Help Running Rebels Girls Basketball Team

Hi, My name is Journey I am 12 and I love playing basketball. I am seeking donations to help my local team start a basketball program for girls my age :) Studies show that girls and women who play sports have higher levels of confidence, self-esteem, and lower levels of depression. In addition, we are more likely to get good grades in school AND graduate high school.

This 2022 Season the Running Rebels Basketball Organization out of Milford Delaware is introducing a Middle School Girls team. In Sussex County there are very few resources for Girls Basketball outside of the school season, and the Rebels have recognized the importance off adding spring/summer basketball programing for young women in our county.

For many in our community the cost associated with playing AAU sports is a barrier to entry, and I believe all girls should get a chance to play basketball, build life skills, and make life-long friends. The Running Rebels registration fee is much lower, due to the coaches generously volunteering their time but there are many other costs associated with AAU Basketball including uniforms and warm ups, tournament travel, other items, and fees.
