Rufus came into my life on a rainy day, crying in my yard after being abandoned by his mother. His mother, who belongs to my neighbor, has had many litters because she hasn’t been fixed, and Rufus is one of the lucky ones to have survived. I don’t have children, so Rufus is truly my baby, and I want to give him the best life possible.

Rufus is at the age where he needs to be neutered, but his surgery is more complicated than usual because he has a non-descending testicle. This means the procedure is more invasive and much more expensive than a typical neuter. I want to do the responsible thing for Rufus and my community by making sure he doesn’t add to the growing number of stray kittens in our neighborhood.

The funds raised will go directly toward paying for Rufus’s surgery. Unfortunately, I don’t make enough to cover the cost upfront, and it would take me a long time to save that amount on my own.
