Hey Friends,

This is Jonathan and Sara sharing updates about Rudy and his battle with Valley Fever. He has had the worst of the symptoms possible for this disease including a swollen heart, lungs, abdomen, lethargy, loss of appetite and more. He had to be brought in to the ER for possible heart failure due to an inflamed heart. He has also had inflamed lungs and abdomen. He had a Pericardiectomy to alleviate the heart swelling and has been recovering well since then. His heart is still having a few Arrhythmias but overall becoming stable. He has lost over 20 pounds due to his lack of appetite as well, but seems to be eating a bit better after the surgery.

Unfortunately, his vet bills are adding up and his pet insurance isn't going to cover all it. If you're able to help us get Rudy well again we'd truly appreciate it!

The funds that are raised will go to pay his emergency room bill of $5112, Surgery vet bill of $4050 and ICU recovery costs of $7200.
